Nella Salgado Heredia
1927-2020
A Saint has Gone to Live With Jesus
In our short lives some of us have been fortunate, lucky or blessed to meet someone that touches our soul and helps guide us on our path in life and make us a better person.
For me that person was my aunt, Nella. I can’t ever remember her not being part of my life.
As many of you know there aren’t many people on this earth that I listen to no less hold in high esteem, but my aunt, Nella was that very special person for me along with my parents.
She was a beautiful, gentle, quiet and soft spoken lady, but God help you if you crossed her. Discipline, honesty and an unyielding belief in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was her bedrock.
A successful business woman in a time in our history when a women owning and operating her own business was not as acceptable as it is today.
She was the last of my father's family on his father's side. Now united with her brothers, Ernest, Billy, Joseph “Cotton”, Leroy and Eddie Salgado and sister, Adaline Smith.
My aunt, Nella went to heaven on April 7, 2020 at the age of 92.
We will all miss her with all our hearts but her legacy will live forever in the hearts and minds of her extended family.
May God Bless you Aunt Nella and may you live eternal life with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Your loving nephew Ernie Jr.
