American Indian Recruitment AIR Fall Program 2008
by Roy Cook, Opata-Oodham, Mazopiye Wishasha: Writer, Singer, Speaker
We appreciate thank our community partners for this last year. The AIR Program Fundraiser and Banquet at the Sycuan Resort September 25, 08: SOLD OUT!
We have had a great year with the AIR Program. We have directly served over 100 students and over 200 overall participants (students and mentors) within this one-year.
The AIR Program has been in existence for 15 years and we believe in our mission, “the promotion and success of American Indians within education.' We do this by tutoring, mentoring, and creating academic workshops that assist and give our students the tools to succeed in their current and future academic pursuits.
Today, we ask for your help for the upcoming academic school year so that we may continue to serve our American Indian youth who have been left out of the opportunity to pursue a brighter future through education.
Thank you for your continued support and your contribution will help give those student participants the ideals and opportunity to pursue higher education. With this we all gain a brighter future. American Indian youth are our future leaders. Thank you for considering your continued contribution for the AIR Program.
